Pow-wow with the Golden Hill Paugusett

indianloveCome join The Golden Hill Paugussett Tribe for a celebration of Earth, Air, Fire, & Water.

A Native American Pow- Wow will be held on the lake at the Moodus Reservoir, on the grounds of the East Haddam Town Beach, 291 East Haddam-Colchester Turnpike, East Haddam, CT, this Saturday and Sunday, May 15-16.

There will be Native American dancing, drumming and music.

Traditional Native American gifts, crafts, herbs, jewelry and gemstones will be sold, as well as food and drink.

There will be flute music by Joseph Fire-Crow, and storytelling for the children.

The festivities will begin on Saturday, from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m., and continue on Sunday, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

“Grand Entry” (dancers entering the Sacred Circle) will take place each day at noon.

Entry fee is $2 for adults, $1 for Senior Citizens and disabled persons.  No admission charge for children under 10 years old (children must be accompanied by an adult).
