East Haddam Police Logs April 8-17, 2011 – Bd of Ed burglary, drunk driving

Cop_with_lightThe East Haddam Resident Trooper’s Office and Connecticut State Police Troop K report the following arrests:

On Friday, April 8, 2011, Sandra Kersell, 53, of 20 Woodmont Circle, East Haddam, CT was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and traveling unreasonably fast. She was observed driving east on Mount Parnassus Road in East Haddam and clocked on a stationary radar at 55 mph in a posted 35 mph zone. Her vehicle was stopped by the officer and Kersell admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages prior to operating the vehicle and she  failed a field sobriety test.

On Tuesday, April 12, 2011, Harvey Leonard, 24, of 91 Clark Gates Road, East Haddam, CT was arrested for disorderly conduct and third-degree assault as the result of a disturbance at his address.

On Tuesday, April 12, 2011, Alexander Wilcox, 22, of 129 Falls Road, Unit 3, Moodus (East Haddam), CT was arrested on a warrant for third-degree larceny in connection with a burglary at the East Haddam Board of Education Building on Plains Road.

On Thursday, April 14, 2011, Anthony Wright, 41, of New Britain, CT was arrested in East Haddam, CT for second-degree failure to appear (in court).

On Friday, April 15, 2011, Dena Kelly, 33, of Madison, CT was arrested on a warrant for fourth-degree larceny in connection with an incident in East Haddam, CT in September 2010.

On Saturday, April 16, 2011, Sundy Martin, 53, of 17 Hedlund Road, East Haddam, CT was issued a written warning for failure to drive (on the) right as the result of an accident on Route 16 in Colchester, CT where his vehicle struck the center median curbing, which caused his car’s airbags to deploy and the front tire to deflate. There were no reported injuries.
