The next educational program at the East Haddam Historical Society will have you thinking about Santa and Christmas trees and mistletoe.
At 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at the historical society museum, Scott and Shea Jezek will share – and talk about – some of their collection of vintage/antique Christmas postcards, a subject they are very passionate about, so you’re bound to go home with a bundle of interesting facts.
“We bumped into these [cards] about six years ago at a paper show,” Shea Jezek said. “We found them interesting, beautiful… with their images, artistry and gold embossing. Now we are regulars at Brimfield, Paper Mania and any other places postcards are shown.”
The Jezeks will share their collection in a PowerPoint presentation and will bring some original items.
A social hour with refreshments and an opportunity to talk with the Jezeks will follow.
This program is suitable for all ages and free; however, donations from non-members are always appreciated.
