October 3, 2012 Local News No Comments

East Haddam Emergency Management Director Craig Mansfield is warning local residents that there will be milling and paving work done in the Tylerville section of Haddam in the area of Routes 82 and 154 this week.

In an alert issued tonight (Road Work RT 82 on the Haddam Side of the Bridge, RT 82 and RT 154), Mansfield writes:

The Town of East Haddam “…learned TODAY (Oct. 3) that there will be milling and paving work done in the Tylerville section of Haddam in the area of RT 82 and RT 154.

The milling will take place for approximately 3 days and plans are in place to pave the week of October 15 (weather permitting).

You can check the Department of Transportation website or we will post further updates on the town website (www.easthaddam.org) if they are received from the State of Connecticut, DOT.

Please forward this on to others as there was a fairly lengthy backup today and delays are expected through the completion of the project.”

CT Dept of Ag to crack down on misuse of Connecticut Grown label

“While we do not believe misuse of the Connecticut Grown label is widespread, we recognize that trust is quickly damaged in the rare instances it does occur. Strict protection of the Connecticut Grown brand protects not only consumers seeking out local foods and other agricultural products, but also the thousands of honest farm families in Connecticut working long, hard hours each day to produce those items.” – CT Agriculture Commissioner Stephen Reviczky
