Local legislators talk with taxpayers at East Haddam Senior Center

State Sen. Art Linares and state Rep. Melissa Ziobron listened to taxpayers questions at a 90-minute Town Hall Meeting held March 19 at the East Haddam Senior Center.

The next Town Hall Meeting is 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 21 at East Hampton Public Library. All are welcome to attend.

“We had an excellent turnout – more than 35 taxpayers came out,” Sen. Linares said about Tuesday’s meeting and added that the legislators will “take your ideas and concerns and bring them with us to the State Capitol.”

Rep. Ziobron said, “We found the discussion to be very helpful and I was impressed by the questions of those in attendance … We plan to continue to update you on our legislative priorities and answer any questions you may have.”

Sen. Art Linares (www.senatorlinares.com) represents the 33rd Senate District, which includes Chester, Clinton, Colchester, Deep River, East Haddam, East Hampton, Essex, Haddam, Lyme, Old Saybrook, Portland, and Westbrook.

Rep. Ziobron represents the 34th district communities of East Haddam and East Hampton as well as a portion of Colchester.
