Staff from the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) will host a community meeting beginning at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25 in the Nathan Hale-Ray High School Auditorium, located at 15 School Drive, in Moodus/East Haddam.
The DEEP will update local residents on its efforts to improve Sunrise State Park.
With the demolition of many buildings complete, the DEEP – along with Rep. Melissa Ziobron, Sen. Art Linares and First Selectman Mark Walter – want your feedback to shape the future of the property.
Alternatives to consider include keeping the property in its natural state for nature trails and casual recreation, or once again trying to find a private party to redevelop the property for some other recreation-based uses.
Questions? Please call the First Selectman during office hours at 860-873-5020 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
