Brian Reas, new school superintendent for the East Haddam School District is enjoying his new position and feels it’s a natural fit for him.
“Coming here to East Haddam just seemed like a good fit. I enjoy working on a variety of tasks and issues, and look forward to having an everyday impact on how the schools here will progress in the future,” he said.
Reas, who came to East Haddam from East Lyme where he was assistant superintendent, said one his goals is getting the high school re-accredited with the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). New England Association of Schools and Colleges is the nation’s oldest accrediting association, serving more than 2,000 public and independent schools, colleges and universities in the states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, and American/international schools in more than sixty nations worldwide. It is committed to establishing and maintaining high standards for all levels of education from pre K-to doctoral levels.
